A huge heartfelt *CONGRATULATIONS* to Tony and Danuscha, on their exquisite new baby girl, Nova, who came into this world just 8 weeks ago. How amazing are those tiny little feet?
After what feels like the longest winter ever, Spring has finally arrived in Zurich, reminding me of just how much I LOVE Summer in this city, and how long it’s been since I last kicked back in one of the coolest outdoor spots around, Frau Gerold’s Garten. A little haven of green in a the very industrial Kreis 6, it’s a great place to enjoy a beer & a “würstli” with friends on warm summer evenings…
Jeanne has been my best friend and partner in crime since we were about 11, and she’s one of the warmest, big-hearted and funniest people I know. AND she’s an a.m.a.z.i.n.g friend. In short, Jeanne is awesome, and I don’t know what I’d do without her. She’s also been the subject of a large majority of my picture taking over the past two decades, from (honestly rather unflattering) Art School photography projects when we were 16, to sitting for portraits for me while I figured out how to use my first DSLR. Recently I was fortunate enough to be with her in Cape Town to snap a few shots of the 7 month of her first pregnancy, looking more stunning than ever. Jeanne – thanks so much so much for letting me post these pictures – you are going to be such a beautiful Mum. Love xoxo
The story of how Nicole & Jan met is almost as unique as the location of their wedding. Nicole was working for a Language Holiday Travel company, Jan was looking to improve his English somewhere in the sun. The pair hit it off over emails, and the rest as they say, is history. When Jan told me that he had proposed to Nicole on top of Table Mountain (in my hometown Cape Town) I knew we were off to a great start. Nicole has a thing for airplanes – her face lights up with childlike joy whenever one passses over head. The catch is – she’s terrified of flying. Jan thought it would be a fun idea to indulge his soon-to-be-mrs’s love of all things aviation, with an intimate wedding at nowhere other than the Zürich airport.
